SPIC MACAY organises intimate, acoustic performances of India's classical music and dance traditions at colleges and schools. As an artiste, you perform before young audiences who may be experiencing classical art for the very first time — with no ticketing, no commercial pressure, and a genuine reverence for the tradition. We coordinate all logistics: venue, travel, hospitality, and programme communication. Your role is simply to perform and, if you wish, to speak briefly about the tradition you carry.

India's folk and tribal art forms are among the most endangered cultural expressions in the world. SPIC MACAY actively presents these traditions on campuses to ensure that young Indians know they exist — and that the practitioners who carry them are honoured. Whether you perform Chhau, Baul, Yakshagana, Lavani, or any of hundreds of regional traditions, we want to feature your art. Performances are typically 45–60 minutes and are preceded by a brief context-setting introduction.

Craft demonstrations and workshops bring students into direct contact with India's material heritage. SPIC MACAY organises craft exhibitions, live demonstrations, and short workshops at institutions where master craftspeople share their techniques and the stories behind them. You don't need to be a performer — if you are a weaver, a sculptor, a miniaturist, a Warli artist, a dhurrie maker, or a practitioner of any traditional craft, we would like to feature your work and your story.

SPIC MACAY's scope extends beyond the formally classified arts. If you carry a living tradition — a regional martial art, a classical yoga lineage, a sacred storytelling practice, a Sufi musical form — and you believe young Indians should encounter it, we want to hear from you. We review all applications and reach out when a relevant programme opportunity arises in your region.
