NEP 2020 mandates integration of arts across all disciplines. SPIC MACAY's concerts and workshops are the most scalable implementation of this mandate — no curriculum redesign required.

The Policy calls for cultivating students' cognitive, social, and emotional capacities. Classical arts directly develop all three — attention, empathy, and self-regulation.
Cultural Roots & National Pride
NEP explicitly asks institutions to connect students with India's living cultural traditions. SPIC MACAY has been doing this — in 700+ chapters — since 1977.
Values & Ethics Education
The Policy identifies humility, integrity, and service as core graduate attributes. The Guru-Shishya tradition — transmitted through every SPIC MACAY event — embodies all three.
Experiential & Activity-Based Learning
NEP promotes learning through doing, not just listening. A live raga concert or a classical dance workshop is the purest form of experiential learning.
Student Wellbeing & Mental Health
NEP 2020 dedicates a full section to student mental health. Decades of research confirm that classical music reduces anxiety, improves sleep, and builds emotional resilience.
